Tau Eta Iota Kappa

On November 3, 2023, Tau Eta Iota Kappa was founded by two sisters with a dream, a purpose, and a determination to create something greater than themselves. They set out on a journey filled with uncertainty, facing obstacles, challenges, and moments that could have easily caused them to give up. Yet through it all, their vision never wavered. They wanted to build a sisterhood where women could be unapologetically themselves, form genuine connections, and find a place where they were accepted, valued, and loved for exactly who they were.

As their journey continued, they found themselves wandering through a magnificent Enchanted Forest. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and towering trees painted in brilliant shades of teal, powder blue, and pearl white stretched toward the sky. The forest seemed magical, almost as if it had been waiting for them.

While exploring, the sisters noticed movement behind a tree. Peeking out was the cutest, chunkiest little mouse they had ever seen. She had soft gray fur, bright eyes, and a beautiful blue flower resting atop her perfectly round ears. The tiny mouse appeared shy and quickly hid when she noticed them looking her way.

The sisters smiled warmly and softly assured her they meant no harm.

Slowly, the little mouse stepped from behind the tree and approached them. As the sisters reached down to greet her, a burst of golden hearts and shimmering lights suddenly swirled around them. Sparkling strands of teal, powder blue, and luminous pearls danced through their hair. Their ears tingled with warmth before transforming into two perfectly round mouse ears.

The sisters stared at one another in amazement.

Then the little mouse began to squeak.

To their surprise, they could understand every word.

"My name is Minnie," she said with a gentle smile.

The sisters laughed and admired their new ears while Minnie let out a soft "Yoo-hoo." Though she tried to smile, they could see sadness hiding behind her eyes. Again and again she whispered, "Yoo-hoo."

Concerned, the sisters knelt beside her and asked what was wrong.

With tears beginning to form, Minnie explained that others often made fun of her because of her size. They called her fat and made her feel like she wasn't enough.

The sisters looked at one another before turning back to Minnie.

"Oh no, sweetheart," they said. "You are not fat. You are THIK, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. THIK is beautiful. THIK is confident. THIK is powerful. THIK is something to be celebrated."

Minnie's eyes widened.

For the first time, she saw herself differently.

A huge smile spread across her face as she placed her tiny hands on her hips, lifted her chin proudly, and began to strut through the forest.

"Yoo-hoo! I'm THIK!" she shouted.

The enchanted forest erupted with laughter, cheers, and sparkling lights as Minnie danced among the flowers with confidence she had never felt before.

From that day forward, Minnie became more than a friend—she became the symbol of everything Tau Eta Iota Kappa stood for. Confidence. Acceptance. Sisterhood. Strength. And the belief that every woman deserves a place where she can embrace who she is without apology.

Together, Minnie and the sisters continued their journey, welcoming women from all walks of life into their growing sisterhood.

And wherever their path led, one thing remained true:
