Tau Eta Iota Kappa

Tau Eta Iota Kappa was founded by two sisters on November 3, 2023—driven by purpose and determined to leave their mark on the world. Together, they ventured beyond what was familiar and were met with countless challenges meant to deter them from their mission. Yet their vision remained clear: to create an organization where women could fully be themselves, meet new women, and build a sisterhood rooted in connection, acceptance, and an unbreakable bond.

During their journey, the sisters wandered into an Enchanted Forest alive with vibrant flowers and towering, colorful trees. As they explored, they stumbled upon the cutest, chunkiest little mouse they had ever seen. She wore a blue flower perched atop her perky, round ears. Shy at first, she hid behind a tree. Gently, the sisters reassured her that they meant no harm. Slowly, the mouse peeked out and crept toward them. As the sisters lowered their hands to lift her up, something magical happened.

Golden hearts and sparkling lights swirled around them, weaving strands of teal, powder blue, and luminous white pearls into the sisters’ hair. Their ears tingled and slowly lifted, forming two round mouse ears of their own. The little mouse began to squeak, and suddenly the sisters understood her perfectly.

“My name is Minnie,” she said.

The sisters looked at each other in awe, then giggled at their new ears. Minnie let out a soft “yoo-hoo,” but there was sadness in her eyes. She repeated it again and again until the sisters gently asked what was wrong. Minnie squeaked that others often called her fat. The sisters exchanged a glance, then looked back at her with warmth.

“Oh no, sweetheart,” they said. “No ma’am—you are not fat. You are THIK, and you should embrace it.”

Minnie’s face lit up. She placed her tiny hands on her hips, lifted her head high, and began to strut proudly, chanting, “Yoo-hoo! I’m THIK!”

From that moment on, Minnie and the sisters were inseparable. Hand in hand, they walked off into the forest together—Minnie’s little feet dangling joyfully—as they all sang in unison:

“Yoo-hoo! We are THIK!”
